Last year, Crown Casinos spent $750 million to renovate Crown Perth. It was one of the operator’s more expensive undertakings, but it was certainly worth it. This week, Crown Casinos reports a substantial increase in profits thanks to the refurbishment of the casino.
“Crown Perth’s revitalised offerings add a new dimension to Perth’s tourist offering,” reads an annual report from the casino operator. “The extensive capital expenditure program has reinvigorated the resort”.
As part of the renovation, Crown Perth installed new pokies, which resulted in a generous increase in electronic gaming revenue. Over the course of the past years, pokies at the casino have brought in an additional $23.6 million over last year.
Roulette is the most profitable table game since the casino has been renovated, bringing in an additional $12.7 million. Baccarat, on the other hand, has seen a significant decline, decreasing by $74.5 million. Other table games like blackjack did not see any declines.
Over all, the casino is bringing in an additional $2 million every month. More than 20 000 patrons visit the casino every day, and Crown Perth expects to see even more generous growth over the course of the next year.
